HILHELM Waterborne Conformal Coating

HILHELM Water-Based PCB Conformal Coating is a specially formulated eco-friendly transparent coating designed for electronic metal workpieces requiring anti-fouling and easy-clean surface protection. This specialty waterborne coating provides effective protection for copper, silver, gold, and other sensitive metal surfaces without corroding the substrate. It is suitable for various electronic components, chips, 3C integrated circuits, and other electronic product surfaces. The product complies with both Chinese national and European/American environmental standards.

Application Instructions
Step 1 – Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is completely dry. Remove oil, grease, and dust for optimal results. An industrial degreasing cleaner is recommended; allow to air-dry or oven-dry.
Step 2 – Masking: Mask areas that should not be coated (use PE film with silicone tape for fixation) to prevent the nano-coating from entering.
Step 3 – Dip Coating (Example Process): Prepare a plastic or glass container and pour in the product, ensuring the workpiece is submerged by 1-2cm. Dip for 3-5 seconds, remove, and allow the solution to drain. Place on a dedicated rack and let stand for 10 minutes.
Note: Do not touch the surface before curing; excess liquid can be absorbed with paper or lint-free cloth.
Step 4 – Curing: Air-dry at room temperature for 2 hours for surface drying; wait an additional 2 hours for full drying. Alternatively, bake at 70°C for 30 minutes for surface drying. For performance testing, bake at 60°C for 12 hours for full curing, or air-dry at room temperature for 7 days before testing.
Storage & Handling
  • If particles or sediment appear, filter before reuse – this does not affect product performance
  • Store in a dry, ventilated area away from direct light
  • Shelf life: 1 year
